About Us

The Hasenbos family's passion for militaria goes back several generations. Founder Piet Hasenbos became fascinated with military history as a child. What began with browsing military magazines grew into a serious collecting hobby around the age of 25. In the 1990s, Piet decided to turn his passion into a business. This allowed him not only to expand his own collection but also to offer other enthusiasts access to unique pieces. Over the years, he developed a broad expertise, specializing in German militaria from World War II, the Dutch East Indies, and the French Foreign Legion.

In 2006, his daughter Charito Hasenbos joined the company. Surrounded by military objects and stories from a young age, she built a large international network during her years in Paris. There, she attended countless fairs and auctions, further deepening her knowledge. Initially, her personal interest lay in WWII documentation and children's uniforms, but she has since developed a broad expertise across various periods and themes of military history.

Since 2025 , the third generation, Danique Hasenbos , has also been active in the company. Initially, she helped out at fairs and events during weekends, where her enthusiasm for the collection and its stories quickly grew. She particularly enjoys connecting with collectors and enthusiasts. She has now chosen to fully focus on the company, continuing the family tradition and bringing new energy and perspective to the team.

We see it as our mission to make authentic militaria and curiosities available to collectors, museums, and those interested in history. This involves not only offering unique objects but also sharing the knowledge and stories associated with them.

Our vision for the future is to develop a platform that, in addition to militaria, also serves as a source of knowledge and education. In this way, we aim to contribute to the preservation and transmission of history, with respect and integrity, so that future generations can learn from the past.

Kind regards,

Piet, Charito and Danique Hasenbos
