Description

Original German May 1, 1939 (Labor Day) event badge / tinnie from the Third Reich period.

The front shows an allegorical female figure with flowers, next to the imperial eagle with swastika. At the bottom, the banner reads “Ostmark – Altreich – Sudetenland”, referring to the territories that had been brought under German rule at the time. At the top, the date “1. Mai 1939” is displayed.

The back features the original pin clasp and is marked ARGENTOR-WERKE WIEN, a well-known Austrian manufacturer of badges and tinnies from that period.
