Printed coat of arms for members of the 1st Cossack Division (German: 1. Kosaken-Kavallerie-Division), a Cossack volunteer division of the German Army that served during World War II. The division was formed on the Eastern Front, primarily from Don, Kuban, and Terek Cossacks already serving in the Wehrmacht. Of all the Eastern peoples, the Cossacks were the most beloved by the Germans. The shield depicted a Don Cossack member serving in the Don-Kosaken Reiter-Regiment 1.
