Description
On January 13, 1935, a referendum was held regarding the authority in the Saar area. International troops, including the Dutch Marines, were deployed to ensure that the vote went smoothly. The majority of the inhabitants voted for German authority. Hitler used this referendum as propaganda material for the Third Reich. The Saar area was rich in raw materials. Enameled sign, diameter: 22.5 cm. In used condition.
