Description
Original German tinnie/day badge from 1937, issued on the occasion of the Große Reichsausstellung „Schaffendes Volk” in Düsseldorf. The obverse depicts a hand holding a hammer, surrounded by the text “Grosse Reichsausstellung Düsseldorf Schlageterstadt Schaffendes Volk 1937”.
The Schaffendes Volk exhibition took place from May to October 1937 in Düsseldorf and served as a large-scale exhibition on industry, architecture, housing, and labour within Germany at the time. The site was then known as Schlageterstadt.
