Description
Original French shako plate for troops of the 61st Infantry Regiment, model 1860, dating from the Second French Empire (Napoleon III).
The plaque is made of stamped and cut brass in the shape of a crowned eagle with outstretched wings, resting on a globe with the regimental number “61”.
The inside is inscribed with the year 1865 and the internal army administration number 2711
