Bronze commemorative medal with original box, design by Georges Guiraud, issued during the Vichy period (World War II).

Front:

Image of a young woman seated, holding a young child by the hand. Georges Guiraud's signature is in the right field.

Reverse:

Five birds around the Swiss coat of arms with the white cross, surrounded by the text:

“Les enfants de France reconnaissants à leurs hôtes suisses”

(“The children of France grateful to their Swiss hosts”)

At the bottom the inscription: “Médaille frappée à la demande du Maréchal Pétain” with an ax motif.
