Description
Original German NSDAP 'Tag der Arbeit' (May 1st) 1934 tinnie from the early period of the Third Reich.
The front features a characteristic design with a stylized worker's head, hammer, and sickle as symbols of labor, combined with the national eagle and the year 1934. Around the edge is the text “Tag der Arbeit”. The back features the original pin construction and the manufacturer C. Poellath, Schrobenhausen, a well-known producer of German decorations and tinnies from this period.
This type of day badge was issued to commemorate Labor Day on May 1, 1934 and served as a commemorative and propaganda insignia.
