Hasenbos Militaria
Description
A beautiful and original Tschako plaque from the Kingdom of Saxony, used by Saxon Jäger and Schützen units (light infantry). This type of plaque was worn on the Tschakos of units such as the Kgl. Sächs. Jäger-Bataillon Nr. 12 and other Saxon light infantry regiments between approximately 1867 and the First World War.
The central coat of arms features the classic Saxon shield with a Rautenkranz and a king's crown, surrounded by a laurel wreath and bearing the characteristic Jägerhorn, the symbol of Saxon Jäger and Schützen troops. The gilded star is beautifully preserved and, together with the silver-colored central plate, forms an authentic and sought-after combination.
