WWII US Army white summer cap

Hasenbos Militaria

Description

This white U.S. Army officer's cap is a rare summer version from the 1930s / World War II. Such caps were taken out of use relatively early in the war, making original specimens difficult to find today.

The cap features a white cotton top, a gold braided chinstrap, and a hard black brim. On the front is a beautifully detailed golden metal officer's eagle, a model worn from the 1930s into World War II. The insignia still has a nice golden finish with fine details.

The inside has a neat brown leather sweatband. In addition, the cap has a sturdy woven frame of wooden reed, as was common with these earlier versions.

A hard-to-find and decorative original piece of American militaria from World War II
