Authentic Gille costume for children, for the famous tradition of the Gilles of Binche. This carnival is one of Belgium's most renowned folklore heritage events and is even listed as a UNESCO intangible cultural heritage.

The typical Gille costume consists of a linen suit decorated with colourful motifs such as lions, crowns, and flowers in red, yellow, and black. Around the waist, a Gille wears a belt with bells that jingle while dancing and are symbolically meant to ward off evil spirits and announce spring.

During the actual Binche Carnival, not everyone is allowed to participate as a Gille. According to tradition, participants must be born in Binche or reside there and be a member of a Gille association.
