Belgian RECCE helmet maker Sartel 1952

Hasenbos Militaria

Description

Belgian steel Recce helmet produced by SARTEL for the Belgian Army (ABL – Armée Belge). The liner is marked "ABL 52," referring to the model from the early 1950s. This helmet dates from the Cold War period.

RECCE stands for reconnaissance. This helmet is based on the British Mark I RAC (Royal Armoured Corps) helmet, a steel helmet.

The helmet still features its original olive green paint, original chinstrap, and complete leather liner. On the side is a Belgian flag decal. The helmet shows normal signs of use consistent with military equipment of this age, but is still in good and original condition.
