Boek Philips Honderd 1891-1991

Hasenbos Militaria

Description

To commemorate Philips' centennial, this book was commissioned as an anniversary edition. It provides a glimpse into a company that grew into one of the world's top 10 lighting technology and electronics companies. One hundred years of Philips can't be measured in a few hundred pages. This isn't a history book, but a sketch of successive generations, steeped in human and business convictions. Think of it as a kind of eyewitness account in images and words. Topics covered include key economic, technical, and social developments, distinctive products and advertising activities, significant events, and locations in the Netherlands and abroad. Thousands of archive files, annual reports, staff magazines, periodicals, books, and films were used as sources. The four editors—Sergio Derks, Jeff S. Haneveer, Frans van der Put, and Guus Bekooy—had worked in, with, and for the company for a combined total of 125 years at the time they were working on this book. They feel a deep commitment to Philips, not only in its successes but also in its challenges. Based on this commitment, the goal was to create a book that does justice to a hundred years of exciting business from one of the most interesting companies in the world. Hardcover 205 pages. The book is in good used condition.
