Description
Original winter hat (ushanka) of the German Luftwaffe from World War II, dated 1944 inside. This model was introduced by Germany after the harsh winter of 1941-42 and is based on the Soviet design of the Red Army.
Made in the characteristic blue-gray Luftwaffe color with dark gray fur. It features fold-down ear flaps that can be secured with a cord or worn down for extra protection from the cold.
On the front, a badge featuring the Luftwaffe eagle above a cockade in national colors, embroidered directly onto the flap, features the wearer's name. The wearer's name is handwritten on the inside.
