ET stands for Eisenhüttenwerke Thale, a large German steel mill and one of the most important producers of German steel helmets in both the First and Second World Wars.
64 indicates the helmet shell size (not the head circumference). Size 64 is a medium to large shell. Suitable for inner sizes (liner) of approximately 56–58.
