Description

Rare and authentic French Armée de l'Air pilot's jacket from the late 1930s / early World War II, also known as the Modèle 1939. This type of jacket was worn by French fighter and bomber pilots during the "Phoney War" and the Battle of France (1939–1940).

This heavy leather jacket is made of thick leather and lined with a warm wool / sheepskin-like inner lining, specially designed for use in cold, open cockpits at high altitudes. The classic double-breasted front, wide lapel collar, and waistband with metal buckle give the jacket its iconic military look.

The jacket is missing a button on the right side, see last photo, the jacket is in beautiful used condition.

Sleeve length: 79 cm

Armpit to wrist: 45 cm

Corresponds to a roomy M or size L
