Italian backpack looted German WW2

Hasenbos Militaria

Description

A backpack with a story

This remarkable Italian backpack from World War II literally carries a story. Originally manufactured in Italy, it was later captured by German troops during the war and adapted for use with the German Y-strap system (Tragegestell).

On the back, the D-rings added for this purpose are still clearly visible, tangible proof of the wartime adaptations.

Inside, there is also a flap from a Dutch knapsack dating from before 1940, making this piece even more unique. It is a beautiful example of how equipment was reused and combined during that period.

The backpack is in used condition
