Luftwaffe Gefreiter armwinkel WW2

Hasenbos Militaria

Description

Luftwaffe Gefreiter's Arm Shop.

On March 4, 1938, the Luftwaffe introduced a series of three rank chevrons for wear by the enlisted ranks of Gefreiter, Obergefreiter, and Hauptgefreiter. One chevron indicates the rank of Gefreiter, two chevrons for the rank of Obergefreiter, and three chevrons for the rank of Hauptgefreiter. These chevrons were worn on the upper left sleeve of the Service Dress tunic, the Flight Blouse, and the Greatcoat. The chevron is made of gray Luftwaffe cloth and has a band of silver-gray NCO braid indicating the rank of "Gefreiter." The insignia has a fine backing.

In beautiful original unworn condition.
