Description
Original hand-embroidered Kriegsmarine officer's gorget, made of gold-colored metal thread (bullion) on a dark blue wool backing.
This example was removed from a uniform and therefore worn. The reverse is no longer fitted with the original paper backing, which is common with examples that have actually been worn on a uniform. Despite slight signs of wear, the embroidery has remained beautiful and well-preserved.
