Description
Original Baden Pickelhaube helmet plate, model 1891, intended for officers of the Baden infantry. This is the officer's version, recognizable by the openwork crown and the fine, sharp detailing.
The helmet plate depicts a crowned griffin with outstretched wings, the official heraldic symbol of the Grand Duchy of Baden. The griffin holds the Baden coat of arms. Below the whole is the original ribbon with the motto:
“MIT GOTT FÜR FÜRST UND VATERLAND”
