NiWin cigarette tin - KNIL / Dutch East Indies period
Beautiful old metal cigarette tin from NiWin (National Effort Welfare Care Dutch East Indies). This tin dates from the period of Dutch presence in the Dutch East Indies and was used in the context of supporting soldiers (including KNIL and KL).
The tin has a striking orange/blue design with the years 1898 – 1948 (Queen Wilhelmina's jubilee) and a decorative shield with a heart.
