Hasenbos Militaria
Description
A rare original French army jacket for demobilized soldiers, manufactured in 1940. This special model was issued to French soldiers after their service, often together with matching trousers.
This jacket is made of a heavy khaki-green wool serge fabric, similar to the fabric used for British uniforms during the First World War. The cut has a distinct early 20th-century look, with influences from the Edwardian period and the 1920s.
Features:
* Classic three-button closure
* Striking wide lapels
* Narrow shoulder line for an authentic vintage silhouette
* Jetted chest pocket on the left side
* Two flap pockets at the bottom
* Back without a vent, typical for the period
The inside is fully lined with white cotton fabric and has inner pockets on both sides. The original maker's stamps, including the date and manufacturer, are still present in the left inner pocket.
