Description
Original Prussian helmet plate (Adler), intended for a men's Pickelhaube from the period of the German Empire (ca. 1860–1915).
This brass plaque depicts the classic Prussian eagle with a crown, surrounded by the motto "MIT GOTT FÜR KOENIG UND VATERLAND." In the center is the monogram FR (Friedrich Rex), characteristic of Prussian infantry and many line regiments.
The plate is in good condition with a beautiful patina, appropriate for its age.
