Wehrmacht Beutel zum Gefechtspack WW2

Hasenbos Militaria

Description

Green canvas Wehrmacht pouch, belonging to the A-frame combat harness (Beutel zum Gefechtsgepäck). The A-frame was introduced in 1939 and was designed to be worn with the Y-straps. Front-line soldiers used this system to more easily carry their equipment during combat.

A small bag was attached to the bottom of the A-frame. This held a K98 cleaning kit, underwear, toiletries, rations, and other personal items. A mess kit could be secured above this bag, with a Zeltbahn 31 or a blanket wrapped around it.
