Description
A very rare pair of original collar badges from the period of the French State (Vichy regime) under Marshal Philippe Pétain. Worn by Marshal Pétain's bodyguard.
The emblems show the Francisque (double axe) in blue-white-red above a silver garnet with the gold letters “E” and “F” (État Français), executed in fine metallic thread embroidery on a dark blue/black background.
This is an uncut, matching pair, in very good, unrestored condition. Original stitching marks are visible on the back.
