Description

A very rare Prussian officer's helmet plate (Pickelhaube eagle) with the unique battle banderoles "PENINSULA" and "WATERLOO", originating from the 2nd Hanoverian Infantry Regiment No. 77.

This regiment was one of the very few German units allowed to use these honorary titles, due to their historical service within the British Army before 1866.

This version is made of white metal/nickel silver, indicating an officer's badge or a special corps such as pioneers/zappers. The eagle is richly detailed and sharply cast, as is typical of officer-designated versions.
