Original Prussian Landwehr officer's helmet plate Model 1895.
Beautifully executed example with the characteristic Prussian eagle provided with the Landwehr cross with the inscription:
“Mit Gott für König und Fatherland – 1813”
This helmet plate was worn on Landwehr Pickelhauben (pickel hats) worn by officers in the Prussian army. Officers' versions were privately purchased and are clearly more refined.
